Welcome to the FAQ page- your go-to guide for everything you need to know before booking a session. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions clients ask about working with me, what to expect, and how to get the most out of your photography experience.
My Process
1.Choose your session
Whether you're looking for a mini or full session, senior, couple, or extended family, all my information and pricing is on my website HERE!
2.Book Your Session
All of my mini sessions can be booked fully online HERE. If you're booking a full, senior or newborn session, please send me a message on my Inquiry Page. To book a session, you'll need to sign the print release contract and pay a $50 non-refundable deposit (remaining session fee is due by the day of the session). Once booked, you'll receive information on location, style guide and what to expect.
3.Picture time
I strive to give each of my sessions the same level of creativity and excitement, whether you've booked a 15 minute mini session, or a 90 minute newborn session! Be prepared to have fun and feel relaxed. I can guide you 100% on posing prompts or follow your lead!
4.Delivering photos
I will send a sneak peek a few days after a full session. Once the gallery is completed (typically 2-4 weeks), I will send it over via a private digital link, where you can download images in high resolution to print or share. You can share the link with friends and family as well.

**I don't send sneak peeks for mini sessions so that I can focus on editing and delivering them within the 2 week time frame.

If you’re looking for candid, natural, and true-to-color photos that feel alive and unposed, I’m the photographer for you! My approach is all about capturing real moments - not stiff poses or forced smiles. I focus on genuine interactions, subtle details, and the in-between moments that tell your story authentically. With a clean, timeless editing style that stays true to how the day really looked, I create images that feel warm, lively, and true to who you are. If you value connection over perfection and want photos that look and feel real, I’ll help you preserve those moments in the most honest, beautiful way.
Do you travel? If so, what are your travel fees?
Yes!! I don't charge any travel fee for 30 miles outside of Minneapolis (55417). Anything beyond that is $.80 per mile. If you have a destination booking, please message me with your inquiry.
What should we wear? Do you help with outfit planning?
I absolutely can help with this! I recommend neutrals, soft earth tones (browns, tans, blues and greens) and pastels as they work well with my editing style. Mixing patterns and textures is always recommended! I personally would steer clear of neon colors and matching outfits.
What happens if the weather is bad?
In the case of a mini session, if it's raining or other bad weather is expected during the session time, I will send out a rescheduling message to all clients 2 hours before the start of the first session. I will note a date and time for the rescheduled session. If you can make it, great! If not, you can be refunded your deposit, or choose another mini session date/time if available. If a regular sessions needs to be rescheduled due to weather, we can be in touch about what date/time works for both parties and rebook the session at no extra charge!
Can we bring pets/family members?
What if My kids don’t cooperate?
Yes! I love the full family, fur babies included! All well behaved dogs are welcomed to sessions. Just message me to confirm the location is pet friendly (especially for indoor/studio sessions). It can be helpful to have another individual or grandparent come to assist getting smiles from littles. But, in the same note, it can also be more stressful and distracting. You know your kids the best and what would work for them. Just also know that I have tons of tricks up my sleeve to get those smiles!
I know how stressful it can be on the other side of the camera and I expect the chaos. We are not aiming for "perfect" photos, rather for real, wholesome moments with your family. We will follow the children's lead and I have plenty of fun "games" that hone in on connection and authentic smiles for everyone. Things that have also worked in past sessions are mini marshmallows, post-photoshoot bribes, a tub of ice cream (yes, bringing it to the session), and lots of family tickles.
Do you offer retouching? What kinds?
I offer natural, true-to-life retouching that enhances without overediting. Skin tones stay realistic, textures like freckles are preserved, and only minor, temporary distractions are gently refined - so your photos still look like you, just at your best!
Do we get the RAW files?

I do not give out my raw files for my sessions. My photos are individually edited by me and then sent to you via a digital gallery. You can then download, print and share all your photos!
My newborn photography style is simple, organic, and baby-led. I don’t use props or staged setups - instead, I focus on natural moments, soft light, and genuine connection. Sessions are relaxed and unposed, allowing your baby to move, stretch, and be comforted naturally. By keeping everything minimal and true to life, I create timeless images that highlight your newborn just as they are and the quiet, meaningful moments you’ll want to remember.
