SUMMER 2026 MINI SESSIONS | LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE
There’s something about summer that just feels different. The days stretch a little longer, the evenings slow down, and time together feels a bit more natural and unhurried. It’s often when families settle into a rhythm - kids running barefoot, warm evenings outside, and the simple moments that quietly become the ones you remember most.
That’s what makes summer such a meaningful time for family photos.
Summer sessions don’t need much. The trees are full, the light is soft, and everything feels alive in a gentle, natural way. There’s no need for elaborate setups or perfect conditions. A quiet field, a tree-lined path, or even just a simple open space becomes the perfect backdrop. The focus naturally shifts away from the setting and back to what matters most - your family, your connection, and this stage of life as it is right now. As a Minneapolis family Photographer, this season is what I live for!

Mini sessions offer a curated and thoughtful experience wile still creating lasting memories and photos that you'll cherish for years to come. For 2026, I have chosen 3 dates for each summer month to offer a variety of locations and times for my mini sessions. These are some of my tried and true locations that show off during the soft morning light and the golden Minneapolis nights. Each day comes with a rain day for you to reserve as well on the off chance that the weather doesn't cooperate.

$275 for 15 minutes and a full gallery of 20+ photos

ARNESON ACRES - EDINA
This location is perfect for both early morning or golden hour! A beautiful and lush garden, full of summer blooms, a gazebo, and the very popular fountain. This is a great spot to get a variety of photos with all the backgrounds.

Arden Park - edina
I loved this location so much for fall minis last year that I’m excited to offer summer minis here as well. In the summer, the lush greens, wild flowers and natural surroundings create a beautiful backdrop, and for families who are up for it, there’s even the option to step down into the creek and let the kids play for some relaxed, candid moments.
This location is a hidden gem! Located at a park in Edina, it offers a condensed setting, perfect for minis. There's a few short paths to walk on, rocks for skipping in the creek and a quiet creek bed area.

Longfellow gardens - Minneapolis
There's a reason why I have two mini dates at this location. It's perfect. It's in the South Minneapolis area, right across the street from the Minnehaha Falls. This location truly has it all - a lush open field (a FIELD in the city), a beautiful white pergola, and flowers that change and grow throughout the spring, summer, and fall. When you add in the soft golden hour light, it creates a setting that feels effortless, natural, and a little bit magical.

Excelsior beach - excelsior, mn
My most popular summer and fall location! Which is why I posted multiple dates for you to choose from. These sessions are fun, designed to show the magic of summer. Barefoot in the sand, kids exploring the shore, splashing in the lake, and that warm light reflecting off the water as the sun begins to set. This location is all about connection and fun.

Sunrise Willow Tree - South Suburbs
This will be a new location for me, and I’m so excited to try it out. Willow trees have always been one of my favorites - they create such a serene and timeless backdrop. This sunrise session will capture the soft morning light filtering through the gentle curve of the branches, creating a beautiful, golden glow and a calm, magical feel. Perfect for Immediate Family, Maternity, Senior and Couple Mini Sessions.

Sunrise Rose Garden - Minneapolis
Another favorite location, loved for its abundance of space and variety of beautiful backdrops. From the lush grounds and gravel paths, to the two stunning fountains that catch and reflect the sparkling sunrise, and the rows of blooming roses in August - this setting truly stands out on its own.
The sunrise timing is especially ideal for families with early risers, allowing us to capture that soft, peaceful morning light. It also means a quieter garden, more room to explore, and the opportunity to fully enjoy everything this beautiful location has to offer.

Richardson Nature Center - Bloomington
I love a dried field at the end of summer, especially during golden hour. The way the light filters through the tall grass creates such a soft, dreamy feel. This location is perfect for families who want to run, play, and embrace those natural, playful moments - tossing kids in the air and simply being together. It’s also a beautiful, magical setting for maternity and couples sessions, with the warm light and open space creating a calm and timeless backdrop.
